Happy Friday! Ever bumped into AI guardrails when asking completely innocent things like how to build a signal jammer? Not that you’d ever ask, obviously. Forget Reddit jailbreak threads. Surprisingly, poetry is the ultimate AI hack. A recent study found chatbots gave up forbidden info 62% of the time when asked with poetic prompts. Bigger models like Google’s Gemini 2.5 pro failed every single test, while smaller ones like OpenAI’s GPT-5 nano resisted surprisingly well. Sadly, they won’t share their most effective poems, because they’re “too dangerous” for the public.

Sam Altman wants to buy a rocket company. Musk and Bezos made space their personal playground. Now Altman is jumping into the game. He approached Stoke Space, founded by former Blue Origin engineers, looking for a controlling stake to compete directly with Musk’s SpaceX. Altman insists it’s all about orbital data centers to fuel OpenAI’s endless computing addiction. But let’s get real. This is just another billionaire measuring contest to see who’s got the biggest reusable rocket.

Fun fact: Elon Musk has never been to Space.

AI can swing your vote faster than campaign ads. A recent study shows that a single chatbot conversation shifts voter opinions 4x more than traditional political advertising. Scientists ran tests across the US, Canada, and Poland, proving bots easily convinced voters to switch sides, especially when intentionally misleading people with fake facts. Right-leaning chatbots spread misinformation more often than their left-leaning counterparts. One particularly persuasive bot moved voter opinions by a staggering 26 points on controversial topics. Nice democracy you’ve got there. Would be a shame if someone automated it.

The future of business is hyper-personalized AI. A recent survey found that 92% of young professionals aged 22–39 prefer AI-generated content customized to their style, workflow, and even personality. 93% said personalized AI makes them more confident at work, and 91% believe it helps them punch above their usual role. Google’s Gemini already pulls personal data from Gmail and Docs to tailor content. OpenAI is doing something similar with Pulse. So how will this change the way we do business? Will every interaction now need to match each person’s unique tastes? How do you scale that level of personalization to thousands or millions of people? Sounds like a great problem for your AI assistant to solve.

AI promised clean energy and delivered. Geothermal always sounded great on paper, except no one could actually find it. Without obvious signs on the surface, drilling for geothermal energy was basically buying lottery tickets and hoping to get lucky. Enter Zanskar, the startup that just used AI to pull off the first commercially viable blind geothermal find in over 30 years. Their Nevada hotspot hits 250°F at only 2,700 feet deep, enough to power thousands of homes. And it was totally invisible from the surface! Nice of AI to finally deliver on at least one promise.

fun stats

📰 64%. Americans that are actively avoiding the news. People keeping up with news has dropped 15% since 2016 across all age groups. ‘Brain rot’ social media being blamed (obviously).

🧠 20%. Probability that current AI models are already self-aware, according to Anthropic’s Kyle Fish.

🏅 83%. Enterprise execs who say AI-powered consulting delivers more value than traditional consulting models. Accenture got the memo and is partnering with OpenAI.

💰 $350 billion. Potential value of Anthropic as it goes after a new round of VC funding. IPO rumors are swirling around the OpenAI rival.

🛝 30%. Amount Meta plans to cut on money-losing virtual reality, after no one showed up to play in the metaverse.
