Good morning. It’s wild how good vibe coding has gotten. All it takes is one night and a stack of scandalous documents to create the most addictive toy on the internet. Pranksters Riley Walz and Luke Igel used Cursor to spin Epstein’s actual emails into a clickable Gmail-style inbox. Now anyone can casually scroll through Epstein’s inbox, star juicy threads, and dig up dirt on the sketchy and powerful. Fun.

The AI Illuminati knows AGI is way too big to build solo. Somehow, tech’s smartest people underestimated what hyperscale AI would actually cost. Building data centers and chasing compute forced former rivals into awkward billion-dollar partnerships. Now they’re stuck in an endless loop, swapping cash and chips in what critics politely call a “circular economy.” If one big player falls, they all stumble. Everyone’s friendly on stage, but behind closed doors, it’s still war.

OpenAI convinced cloud providers to pay for their own funeral. It’s been a trillion-dollar year for OpenAI dealmaking, and everyone wants a piece of the action. But Bank of America sees trouble ahead. They point out that these deals come with hidden risks. If OpenAI succeeds, it becomes a direct competitor in cloud, advertising, and ecommerce. If it fails, Big Tech firms are left holding expensive, unused compute. Partnering with OpenAI could easily go from strategic investment to expensive self-sabotage.

Suddenly investors care if your AI company makes money. For a while, startups could burn cash attracting users, with investors subsidizing every customer. But VCs aren’t piling in on hype and future promises anymore. Nvidia and Microsoft’s huge investment in Anthropic barely caused a ripple, and Nvidia’s earnings excitement lasted roughly five minutes. Investors are tired of paying today for money that might never arrive. They’re shifting toward companies like Alphabet, which sell existing AI products and make revenue right now. It’s not exactly a bubble popping, but Meta and OpenAI should probably start watching their backs.

Chinese researchers found a way to jam Starlink. All it takes is hundreds of drones hovering at 20 kilometers altitude, arranged in a giant chessboard pattern. Each drone broadcasts electromagnetic signals powerful enough to disrupt Starlink’s adaptive antennas and frequency hopping technology. China’s simulation shows that blanketing a large area the size of Taiwan would require less than 2k drones. If electromagnetic drone warfare sounded futuristic, welcome to the present.

Smell-o-vision is back thanks to AI, and this time it works. Researchers finally cracked the scent code, letting companies encode, transmit, and reproduce smells digitally. Startups like Osmo are already “teleporting” aromas remotely, capturing the scent of a plum and recreating it miles away. Industries from VR to healthcare are building immersive experiences and AI-powered electronic noses that detect diseases early. With the olfactory tech projected to explode into billions by 2032, the future smells pretty sweet.
