Good morning. First it was organic, then fair trade. Now companies are racing to slap AI free logos on everything. At least 8 initiatives are fighting to become the global standard, with “Proudly Human” labels showing up on everything from books to films. Some are self-awarded, while others require full blown audits. If this goes mainstream, “human made” could become the ultimate luxury symbol.

Word of the Day: Glasshole (noun) • slang for someone who wears smart glasses in public or films people without consent.

Visual memory is about to become AI’s next superpower. Memories.ai is building tech that lets wearables and robots index and recall what they’ve seen. Until now, AI memory mostly relied on text, but physical AI runs on visuals. Memories.ai is collaborating with Nvidia to develop a powerful visual memory layer for AI, opening up huge possibilities for wearables and robotics. Soon your smart glasses could recognize every face you’ve encountered, and robots could navigate simply by remembering how the world looked yesterday.  [TechCrunch]

Nvidia finally released the AI chip everyone actually wanted. When Nvidia licensed Groq’s ultra-fast inference tech a few months ago, some assumed it was just to keep customers like OpenAI from getting it. Instead, Nvidia just launched the Groq 3 LPU, a chip built to speed up AI responses in real time. Unlike GPUs meant for slow, heavy training, Groq 3 uses integrated SRAM memory to deliver speeds 7x faster with way less lag. Experts say specialized inference chips like this are exactly what’s needed to run AI smoothly at massive scale. [IEEE Spectrum]

The more your company grows, the more complex security gets. More frameworks. More risk. More pressure to prove trust.

What happens if AI makes every business easy to disrupt? Markets value companies on future earnings, not today’s profits. A stock’s worth is mostly a bet that growth will continue for years. But if AI makes every moat temporary, predicting future earnings gets tricky fast. This isn’t just theory. Newspapers, retailers, energy giants, even taxi companies looked durable until suddenly they weren’t. Trillions in market value rely on investors believing that growth will last. Ironically, AI might stall its own rise by turning innovation into a risk nobody wants to take. [Forbes]

80% of corporate AI training fails. Companies burn $100 billion a year teaching employees AI skills, then CEOs blame poor results on unmotivated workers. But researcher Priyanka Dave says motivation isn’t the problem. Employees come back eager to use AI, only to run into outdated job roles, crushing workloads, and managers obsessed with quantity over quality. The fix isn’t more training. It’s redesigning broken systems to support AI properly. Or just keep lighting money on fire. [Inc]

OpenAI is getting sued by the dictionary. Encyclopedia Britannica and Merriam-Webster say the AI giant trained its models on nearly 100,000 copyrighted articles without permission. The lawsuit also claims ChatGPT sometimes copies passages word for word, or worse, invents nonsense and falsely attributes it to Britannica. The legal picture is messy though. A judge already ruled that training AI on copyrighted content is fair game as long as you don’t illegally download millions of books. That mistake already cost Anthropic $1.5 billion. [TechCrunch]

fun stats

💰 One. Trillion. Dollars. Revenue Nvidia expects to make from AI chips through 2027, minimum. CEO Jensen Huang says “I’m certain computing demand will be much higher.”

🌐 9.75%. Share of web traffic now from AI agents. Bot traffic is up 5% from Q4 2025, with agents logging 7.9 billion requests as they scrape the web for data.

💥 15. Accidents Tesla’s robotaxi program has reported, or about 9x the rate for humans. The wannabe autonomous driving fleet has shrunk from 50 vehicles to just 35.
