Good morning 👋 For years, newsletters like this one have been handcrafted by real people with real coffee addictions. People who genuinely care about storytelling. Now OpenAI wants “Pulse” to replace your morning read, generating personalized daily briefings by scanning your emails, calendar, and conversations. Trading your privacy for an AI feed full of generic slop might sound tempting, but no chatbot can match the wit, warmth, or personality of your favorite writers. Some voices simply can’t be automated.

✨ IBM is going all-in on Anthropic for Enterprise AI. The world’s most boring tech giant just teamed up with Silicon Valley’s most cautious, ethics-first AI startup. IBM plans to plug Anthropic’s Claude AI directly into the mission-critical software running huge corporations. It’s a strong signal that Enterprise AI might finally be ready for prime time. The stock surged to record highs on hopes that Claude might actually deliver the productivity gains IBM’s been promising for decades.

🌧️ Oracle’s big bet on Nvidia is backfiring badly. After borrowing $18 billion to build out AI data centers, they somehow managed to lose nearly $100m renting out Nvidia’s flagship Blackwell chips in just 3 months. Gross profit margins barely scraped 14%, and Oracle’s cash flow turned negative. Now Larry’s still on the hook to borrow another $65B to cover deals it made with companies like OpenAI. Maybe running a surveillance empire isn’t the best marketing strategy for renting out GPUs.

👾 xAI wants to release a fully gen AI video game by late 2026. The company’s hiring “video game tutors” to train its AI to design, critique, and invent entirely new gameplay. Sure, other attempts at AI-made gaming stumbled hard, but Musk seems convinced he can pull this off. He’s even promising gen AI movies next. Love him or hate him, when AI starts shipping major games, we’ll be one step closer to the singularity.

🤜🤛 Together with Flow

Don’t type, just say it

Wispr Flow turns your words into edit-free text in every app with zero setup.

Why you’ll love it: Typing is tiring. Flow let’s you dictate emails, docs, and code 4x faster. On the go or at your desk, it gets your words out and makes it sounds like you, not a bot.

Use Flow to fly through Slack notifications, brain dump with ease in Notion, or give better prompts to Claude or Cursor.

🎲 Today’s biggest WTF: The NYSE’s parent company plans to drop $2B into crypto gambling platform Polymarket. This is the same Polymarket that lets users bet on everything from elections to sports championships using stablecoins. The same Polymarket banned in multiple countries for gambling violations. Now valued at a wild $9B, it’s partnering with Intercontinental Exchange to feed thousands of financial institutions “sentiment indicators” (Wall Street’s cute term for betting odds). Who knew degen crypto betting would be Wall Street’s next big thing?

🕊️ Scientists behind quantum computing just won the Nobel Prize. Back in the ‘80s, their experiments proved quantum weirdness wasn’t limited to tiny particles. By convincing electrons to teleport through barriers and exist in multiple states simultaneously, the trio laid the foundation for quantum computing. Quantum tech has spent decades stuck in labs promising breakthroughs that never quite arrive. Now the Nobel committee officially declared quantum legit, whether your crypto wallet is ready or not.

🐌 Without AI data centers, the US economy grew by only 0.1%. A Harvard economist ran the numbers and found nearly all GDP growth in 2025 came from tech giants pouring billions into AI infrastructure. Consumer spending, manufacturing, retail? Basically flatlined. Data centers accounted for 92% of the growth. Apparently the entire American economy is running on NVIDIA.

fun stats

$1.2 trillion

debt tied to AI-related companies  💸 According to JPMorgan, AI debt is now bigger than bank debt, making it the largest segment of the entire high-grade market at 14%.

🤝 Meanwhile OpenAI has been busy making massive deals with Oracle, Nvidia, CoreWeave, AMD et al these last few weeks. The Financial Times tallied it up, and surprise! OpenAI has inked $1 trillion worth of deals. Who knows who will fund it.
